Giving Thanks Going Into Spring

Let's be thankful. Let's look at what we have and cherish all of it. I am in a season of life before a lot of change and it has made me closely examine every angle of my life. I have been looking at everything with lucidity. Preparing to 'mourn' something while still in it makes you really appreciate and see things as they are. Doing this for the large and small facets of my routine, relations and productivity levels has made me extremely grateful. Let's carry thanks in our hearts from one season into the new. Can we believe that next week is Spring?
Friday, March 20th will be our spring equinox. What are you looking to bring from winter into this new season? is there something you are happy to leave behind? I hope you felt connected to yourself this past winter. I really have become so close to myself recently, something I've always been curious about. If I did it, would it feel like agony? What were the conditions for that to fully happen? and when I have achieved 'closeness to the self', I always realize I can go deeper, closer, closer to my heart. The growing is never done.

I've become close to myself in a season of respite, of truly needing to only be with me. I was in a situation where another's chaotic energy was the ruler of my life. I craved something that started to feel foreign: peace! I'm so glad I have made that my primary companion now. Painting helps with confusing feelings. and writing my thoughts down in a journal. How do you like to recenter yourself after a period of getting knocked-off your axis? do you tend to go inwards, be with friends, or a combination of both? We all know what we need, deep down. It's just a matter of strengthening our likelihood and ability to listen to it.
Nothing is promised to us. This means we need to look at everything with a detached yet joyous eye, thinking "It's a gift that I have this," "This is a unique treasure," "I am deserving of this and will not let it go to waste," "I will cherish these comforts and blessings that surround me." "Because I have these gifts, I will use them to help others and myself." "I love this."

I am ready for a new chapter of loving, a new chapter of life. Are you? I have been focusing on the heart and physically opening it. I know I have a lot of work to do in this area. In yoga, my teacher has been reminding us to breathe into our heart, filling it, breathing all around it and especially behind it. Opening the chest. When I drive recently, I will lift my right or left arm around the back of my headrest on the seat. This simple motion, combined with singing, and taking clear & lovely inhales feels like heaven. My eyes want to roll back in my head but that would be bad since I'm driving. What I mean is that I am opening my heart! and it feels so good to do. Decisions can be made from the heart to a point- then the gut must be the ruler inevitably. Or maybe I am wrong about all of it- but these are just some thoughts.
Thank you for reading- I'm going to keep writing to you, dear reader. Whoever you are, whatever you are doing, I am writing to you. and I am grateful for your time. Thank you.
love,
Eva Isabelle
