Eva Kozlowski (b. 1999, Leesburg, VA) is a Philadelphia-based painter whose work navigates the space between the material and immaterial worlds. Caught between the two, her paintings include objects from a seen and unseen world. Her images contain elements of symmetry, organic forms and themes of nature and the body. Calling on memory and daydreams to tell stories centered around the female experience and spirituality, her work is deeply personal, acting as a journal and log of her life. By working solely from invention, her imagery carries an intuitive feeling, while the use of a limited color palette offers a sense of simplicity and child-like intention. Using canvas and marble dust as a base, she also enjoys exploring other materials and techniques to make imagery. Eva received her BFA in painting from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art in 2022.
